In 2018, Gentraco participated in a partnership program for the production and consumption of safe and organic rice–shrimp products in Kien Giang, together with government agencies, businesses, and cooperatives to promote sustainable agriculture.
Under the program, 100 farming households in An Minh District were expected to cultivate 100 hectares of organic rice, Gentraco participating in the implementation. Companies committed to purchasing organic rice at prices at least 30% higher than the market price, helping improve farmers’ income and strengthen the agricultural value chain.
The initiative reflected Gentraco’s commitment to working with farmers, developing sustainable raw material areas, and enhancing the value of Vietnamese rice.
